Jenkins will transition to remote learning for five days

According to the Department of Health Jenkins Jr/Sr high school has reached above %10 positive COVID -19 cases in students. Jenkins will transition to remote learning for five days to satisfy the DOH quarantine requirements, beginning tomorrow, Saturday January 15.

Chewelah Schools have a 2 hour late start today, 1/12/22

- There is a 2 hour late start today, Wednesday, January 12th.  All schools will start 2 hours later than normal and bus pick up times will be 2 hours later than normal.  Breakfast will not be available and lunch will be served starting 30 minutes after school begins. 2 hour late start today for Chewelah Schools.

Covid Case 1/6/22

Last night we were notified that a staff member had tested positive for COVID. Please see the attached letter for further information regarding this situation. Gess Staff appreciate the effort families make to keep their children home when they are ill.

Dear Gess Families,

Over the past 24 hours we had an individual who tested positive for COVID-19. We have followed through with our mitigation protocols and have identified and contacted any close contacts.

I would like to thank everyone for the effort your make to follow the at home screening procedures and the effort you all make to keep your students' home when they are ill or being tested for COVID-19.

To offset the hardship of seeking a testing location the Chewelah School District is offering COVID-19 testing for families. Please contact your school building if testing is needed (509)-685-6800 ext.4015.

Positive Covid Test

Dear Gess Families,

Over the past 24 hours we had an individual who tested positive for COVID-19. We have followed through with our mitigation protocols and have identified and contacted any close contacts.
